The Remedy

There is no greater feeling in this world than a Friday before a long weekend. In this case, we have Monday off, so a three day weekend for me. But the prize comes bittersweet, for all though i will not be going to school for three days, i won't be going to school for three days. If you can make sense of that, then you are probably as crazy as I am.
Life moves waaayyy too fast. Feels like just yesterday i was arriving at open house back in August waiting to see all my friends again. Now we're all ready about to FCAT's (groan)! The only place i feel as if time is moving at the right pace is during my runs. Everything makes sense during the run, the pure energy devoted allows you to have revelations that you never even dreamed of.
School was extremely boring today. Again the only thing that keeps me going are my great friends that are always put a smile on my face (especially you sam). That and track practice, the two things to look forward to in my day. Oh, and hearing Mrs. Gieger pronounce 'volume' voluum everyday.
The day was completely normal, crazy rants in Spanish (i usually just tune it out and dream of better days), crazy Brazee in History, super Spooner in English(and a quiz which i aced without ever even reading the cantos for Dauntes inferno lol), boring, repititous notes in chem, broken catapults in Engineering, a singing substitute in Harriman, and finally an aced algebra test to end the day.
I'm so bored. My whole fam is at the ball park right now for my brothers game, and i elected to stay home and have been at the computer for 4 straight hours singing (quite horribly) to songs on my ipod. I wish i could have gone to the West Fest thing at Tradition tonight, since its just up the road, but i didn't have a ride, so oh well. I'm still waiting for inspiration to find me, to sweep me off my feet and show me the way to self-fulfillment, to a clear cut Remedy. I'll probably be waiting for awhile.
The weekend looks quite dreary, since right now i have nothing to do. Hopefully something will come up. Whatever, i won't worry my life away, i'll just spread the light on it.
Song for today is The Remedy by Jason Mraz.

And so we fade away.

I found this on the internet just now and it is so hilarious you have to read it:
EXCERPTS FROM A CAT'S DIARY

DAY 752

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction I get from ruining the occasional piece of furniture. Tomorrow I may eat another houseplant.

DAY 761

Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded, must try this at the top of the stairs. In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favorite chair...must try this on their bed.

DAY 765

Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body, in attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little cat I was...Hmmm. Not working according to plan.

DAY 768

I am finally aware of how sadistic they are. For no good reason I was chosen for the water torture. This time however it included a burning foamy chemical called "shampoo." What sick minds could invent such a liquid?! My only consolation is the piece of thumb still stuck between my teeth.

DAY 771

There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was placed in solitary throughout the event. However, I could hear the noise and smell the foul odor of the glass tubes they call "beer.." More importantly I overheard that my confinement was due to MY power of "allergies." Must learn what this is and how to use it to my advantage.

DAY 774

I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit. The bird on the other hand has got to be an informant, and speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room his safety is assured.

But I can wait, it is only a matter of time...
