Well, what a day. It started out pretty bad in, of course spanish class. I swear, that is the only class i dont enjoy being in. Although sometimes algebra gets close, cause mrs. reynen seems to have this big funsucker machine, and she uses it to suck the fun, and the comfortability right out of the room. Anyways, back to today. After that nightmare, i headed over to luc's car, and then we both proceeded to the civic center to wait for the bus.
Fast forward. Play. Now we're at the running of the 4X800 meter relay. Lucas starts off first leg and does an admirable job, and when i got the baton, we were in third place by about two seconds. Then the first lap i didn't make up any ground, and the first turn of the second i still wasn't going anywhere, but finally the kid in second started to come back to me, and then suddenly we were on the final turn and i was in first and pulling away. I ran a pr of 2:03 flat, and we were in first. Then timmy held onto the lead his entire leg, not relinquishing anything, that is, until his legs gave out on him and he fell at the finish line. Our anchor leg had to come back, pick up the baton, and then take off. After it was all said and done, we finished fourth. But we're still going to states!
Fast forward. Play. Now we're watching a movie, Street Kings with keanu reeves, forrest whittaker, hugh laurie, and a whole buncha people that when you see them in a movie, you go "hey", i know that guy (or girl). Then we promptly headed back to the track.
Fast forward. Play. Slow Motion. Okay, so a little recap first. Im running in the open 800 meter (the slower of two heats), and i started out the first lap in no lie last place, cause everyone went out soooo fast. Then i started reeling them in, and now here i am, 50 meters to go, and i have one guy left to pass, and i see hes dying. I put on a little extra burst of speed, lean at the line, and take the race cleanly by almost half a second. I ended up sixth overall.
