Wellllll, what a couple of days i have had over the past few days. If you read my previous post, you would already know that i've been in Gainesville for the past few days at the Florida Relays.
On Thursday we left on the incredibly boring 4 hour journey to central Florida. We got there around 6 O' clock, and went up to our rooms. Then the girls left for dinner early, and we decided it was time to play a few pranks. See, coach had one of the keys to their room. So we went in, flipped their beds, turned the tv upside down, took all the toilet paper, soap, and shampoo; then we stacked a few cups of water on their bathroom door so when they opened it water fell on them. We did a pretty good job. Next Tim, Lucas and I went over Jeff's house and we all went for a run. It was a scenic trail out in the open land outside of gainesville. It was beautiful. Afterwards we went to dinner at TGI Fridays, and afterwards we went back to the hotel.
On Friday we had to get up early to go to watch Andrew do the Long jump. Afterwards we went over Jeff's house and to kill some time, then at around one we went back to the track to watch Andrew do the 110 hurdles. He finished second out of about 60 kids. After that we all went back to the hotel and played some halo and took a nap. Then we to Olive Garden for dinner, and then back to the hotel again.
On saturday, we again woke up early, checked out, and went to the track to watch Andrew do the triple jump. After that we went to the mall. We hung out, had Subway, and then went to jeffs house to relax until our race. Then a few short hours later it was race time. I ran a pr (personal record) of 2:04 for my leg in the 4X800, and we finished eighth overall out of 63 teams. Then we hunkered down while it poured out and the races were delayed for an hour before they finally cancelled the rest of the meet. Then we ate dinner at Mickey D's, and started home.
After gettin back at around one in the morning, i fell right asleep when i got home, very glad to be home and in my own bed. Then i had to wake up at ten to go to brunch to celebrate my omagh's (i don't know if thats how you spell it) birthday. Shes my grandma on my mom's side, and she turned 70 today. We went to this little German eatery on the intersection of Westmoreland and PSL blvd., where the mickey d's is. I had the best French toast ive had in awhile, and soon we were back home, and i was working on my spanish packet that i refrained from doing all break till last minute. But i finished it really quick, the whole thing in less than an hour. And i didn't find out till later talking with Sam that i only had to do the first half. Oh well.
Well, i haves to go now, so i leave you with a good bye and a good night. Song today is Barely Breathing by Duncan Sheik.
