AAAAAaaaaaaah! Before i go into todays post, i must tell you that im partaking in V's challenge to start every sentence with a different letter of the alphabet, in order, so bare with me.
Crazily enough, my parents let me stay home from school today, which usually never happens. Didn't see it coming, just out of the blue last night my dad says, hey wanna skip school tomorrow, so naturally i said yes. Early this morning, i awoke with my mom waking my brother up for school at 5, and it was really nice knowing that i didn't have to get up and go to school, and i promptly fell asleep until around 8 when my dad got home from work with dunkin donuts. First, i ate my breakfast, then got ready, and by eleven we were on our way. Going to the DMV was our first stop because i had to replace my permit (i lost my wallet a few weeks ago). Hardly anyone was there, and we got to walk right in and get it replaced (although the lady behind the counter gave us attitude for not making an appointment). I then went with my dad to the new longhorn steakhouse thats opening in traditions, and i tried to apply for a job, but he said that even as a busboy you had to be over 18, so we were shot down practically right away.
Jumping ahead, my dad and i then proceeded to go to wal-mart, where we brought some Mothers day stuff, which included a new phone for my mom. Keeling over from hunger, we both decided to go to Thirsty Turtles to get some of those great wings. Lounging around the bar, we started talking with the manager, who knows my dad. Making some small talk, we eventually find out that he used to work as the training manager for the Olive Garden down in Jupiter. Now we see an our opportunity, and ask him about how we could get a job at the olive garden opening in tradition, and he says that if i give him my name and number he'll see what he can do. Oh yeah, and he mentioned that i can also probably get some hours working this summer at the Thirsty Turtle. Probably the highlight of my week was today, but anyways. Quixotically, i left the house today thinking i would be trying for a job at Longhorn, but i came home afterwards realizing that i know was going to go in a completely different direction.
Right now im really glad with how the day turned out in that aspect, because its actually a lot better this way. So now i can't wait for the summer. Thats when, hopefully, many new and exciting things happen in my life. Usually, my summers are spent at the beach or at home, and with family sometimes. Virtually every day would be spent with nothing really accomplished, but now theres some hope that i can do something with this summer. With my new (hopefully) job and the Cinco de amigos, i might make it through the next few months without going insane. Xenomanically, i will strike out into the day. Yahoo, i made it through the whole post starting every sentence with a different letter of the alphabet, and song today is It Ends Tonight by All-American Rejects.
Zomg good night!
